Chapel at WCHS is a weekly time where our entire student body comes together to worship, reflect and be challenged by the truth of God's Word. It is a central piece of our spiritual life and a formative space where thoughts are formed, hearts are moved and lives are shaped.
Messages are brought by a variety of speakers, including local pastors, alumni, teachers and student leaders. Music is student-led, allowing young people to use their gifts to lead their peers in authentic worship. Themes throughout the year are chosen to speak directly to the lives and questions of high school students, offering both encouragement and accountability.
One of the most distinct aspects of our chapel program is student involvement. From running tech to leading worship, planning themes to delivering devotionals, students are not just passive listeners, they are active participants. Faculty and staff provide mentoring and structure, but the spirit of chapel is one of student ownership and God-centered focus.
At a school where every student is seen and supported, chapel becomes more than a weekly service. It becomes a shared spiritual journey, one that plays a key role in fulfilling our mission to equip young people to think and live biblically.
