Curriculum
The curriculum at Whittier Christian High School is designed to cultivate both academic excellence and spiritual depth. As a Christ-centered college preparatory school, we provide a rigorous yet supportive learning environment that challenges students to grow intellectually while being rooted in biblical truth.
Our core curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, history, world languages, Bible and theology. Students also have access to honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses in key subject areas, preparing them for success at competitive colleges and universities. Electives span a range of interests, from engineering and computer science to studio art, drama and music. Together, they offer students the chance to explore and develop their God-given gifts.
Because our school is intentionally structured to ensure every student is seen and supported, our teachers are able to provide individualized instruction and mentorship. They know their students by name, understand their learning styles and walk alongside them as both educators and role models. This approach helps students discover how they learn best and build confidence through meaningful academic progress.
We believe that true learning goes beyond traditional methods of learning and testing and must involve student-driven research, critical thinking and application. Our curriculum is designed to encourage thoughtful dialogue, collaborative problem-solving and real-world connections. Students are taught to engage with complex ideas and navigate them with wisdom, humility and a biblical worldview.
