Education at WCHS

At Whittier Christian High School, education is more than academics. It is about mentoring the entire student in mind, heart and spirit. Our commitment to a Christ-centered education means we pursue excellence in every subject while also forming character, cultivating wisdom and shaping our students into followers of Christ. Students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively and engage their world through the lens of biblical truth.

We offer a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum that includes honors, Advanced Placement (AP) and elective courses across core subjects, the arts and emerging fields of study. Teachers serve as both instructors and mentors, knowing each student personally and helping them discover their academic strengths, learning styles and future goals.

Our intentionally designed class sizes and teacher to student ratios, allow students to receive the individualized attention and support they need to thrive. Whether a student excels in the sciences, humanities, arts, or technical fields, they are guided by faculty who understand their abilities and believe in their potential. Our academic environment balances rigor with encouragement and fosters an environment where each student can explore, discover and pursue their life calling.

Learning at WCHS extends beyond the classroom. Students explore ideas, wrestle with big questions and apply what they learn through collaborative projects, presentations, service learning and leadership roles.
